The Florida defense shut down the Georgia offense in a 24-10 victory. The Gators held the Bulldogs to only 164 total yards, with only 21 of those coming on the ground. For Florida, Jordan Scarlett led the way with 93 rushing yards and a touchdown. Next up, Georgia will try to get back on track in a visit to Lexington, while Florida will travel to Arkansas.

Nick Fitzgerald had 417 yards through the air and 119 more on the ground and scored a combined seven touchdowns in Mississippi State’s 56-41 win over Samford. Samford did not have an answer for the Mississippi State offense. Donald Gray had 4 catches for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns. Defense continues to be a worry for Miss. State. They gave up 627 total yards to the FCS Samford. Next up, Mississippi State welcomes in top-10 Texas A&M.

Kamryn Pettway rushed for a career-high 236 yards and a touchdown as Auburn defeated Ole Miss 40-29. For Ole Miss, Chad Kelly passed for 465 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Rebels struggled to have any luck with the run game and could not stop the Auburn rushing attack. Ole Miss has gone from a contender in the SEC, to maybe not even making a bowl game. Luckily, they get a home game against Georgia Southern next week, while Auburn will try to continue its’ hot streak against Vanderbilt.
South Carolina 24 Tennessee 21
The kick is NO GOOD!

I expected this game to be closer than most believed. I will admit, I did not see South Carolina pulling off the upset. It does seem that the Gamecocks have found their starting quarterback in Jake Bentley. Bentley passed for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the other hand, for Tennessee, Josh Dobbs struggled. He make a few questionable throws with 2 of them ending in an interception. Tennessee will welcome in FCS opponent, Tennessee Tech, next week, while South Carolina will welcome in a struggling Missouri team.
Texas A&M 52 New Mexico State 10

As expected, this wasn’t even close. Christian Kirk had a monster game for A&M. He returned punts of 70 and 73 for touchdowns, while also 34 receiving yards and a touchdown. Trevor Knight had a quiet game for A&M. He passed for 204 and 2 touchdowns. Next up, Texas A&M will welcome Mississippi State into College Station, while New Mexico State will travel to Arkansas State.
