WATCH: Kentucky Wildcats Send a Message to Terry Wilson

Terry Wilson’s third quarter injury left the crowd at Kroger Field feeling uneasy. To honor their fallen friend, the Cats finished the battle against Eastern Michigan with a win.

After the game, Wilson’s teammates still had not yet gotten a chance to speak to him. Instead, they shared their message to Terry through KSR’s camera lens.

“Keep ya head up. We’re going to push through for him,” said Kavosiey Smoke. “This season’s dedicated to Terry Wilson.”

Wow, if there was any slight optimism left for a favorable MRI, Kavosiey’s words seem to squash that hope.

It’s never a blessing when someone gets hurt???

Totally classless comment by @Kayuts. Terry Wilson gives us his best every game, every season and represents our commonwealth, our city and UK with nothing but dignity and courage.
For anyone so ignorant and full of hate to post anyone’s injury as a “blessing in disguise” requires a total lack of intelligence or consideration.
Comments like Kayuts should be banned from KSR, as well as the person posting that hate and ignorance.
Very Stupid comment a total ašshøle move.

So you are happy he was injured? Go pull for Tennessee.

This is such an ignorant post that lacks class and awareness towards both Terry and the coaches. No injury is a blessing. Terry is 12-3 as a starter and this is the message you send? Also, you are stating our coaches are not smart/good enough to figure out, by watching practice and film, who gives us our best chance to win at quarterback.

KayutsBy90 suffers from little dick syndrome. Makes him feel better to say negative things behind a computer or cell phone and post anything. He definitely ain’t got the balls to tell Terry to his face.

You’re never better off when someone gets hurt. Terry is not a perfect QB but he never gives less that 100%, he does things with his legs that keep the D honest and buys him time as we saw last night, and he is a better version than last year, more accurate and more calm in the pocket. Is he Jake Fromm or Joe Burrow? No. But Smith seems capable and eager and unfazed by the spotlight. Keep in mind he just got here and doesn’t know the playbook like Terry even if his mechanics are better. BUT we had depth at QB, and that’s an asset. We don’t have depth at QB anymore and that’s a problem w UF and a good D coming up, let alone 8 SEC games. Lastly, the kid worked his butt off and got hurt, and it looks like he got hurt pretty badly, so anyway u cut it if I have a heart at all u feel for him.

So if targeting warrants a player being rejected and suspended for a half, then why doesn’t a horse collar tackle that is equally as dangerous. If a horse collar tackle is a “bang bang” play then shouldn’t targeting be as well. After all there is more time to react when sprinting in the same direction and think maybe I shouldn’t be a Richard and snatch this dude high from behind as I’m chasing him down, as opposed to meeting someone sprinting head on who is most likely going to drop there head 1- as a natural reaction 2- to draw said penalty which we all know they do. Just doesn’t make sense to me that there’s more time to react when chasing a man down from behind but lesser a penalty. Get well soon Terry!!

      Well said TrueBlue.

But when does the NCAA do things that make sense?

I swear half the time the targeting penalty is unavoidable and only a natural reaction to the play unfolding, or is just a legitimate attempt to tackle.

That stupid rule is ruining the game in some way, injecting the referees in the game when they do not need to be injected. Let it be about the players and not the refs.

Right, the ncaa is disgusting to say the least. I am glad to see that they’re finally working on a way to compensate players bc that needs to happen ASAP for multiple reasons.

I’m not much on the targeting penalty myself but I do see the need to preserve players’ health for life after the game. No matter how many stipulations you put in to the rule it’s always gonna come down to the guys holding the flags and then the sec committee’s final ruling which is human judgement and can almost always be seen as biased from play to play. Thank goodness the terrible targeting call last night was reversed. The one sided holding calls were absolutely atrocious though….

I agree about the horse-collar penalty. IMO it should be treated just like a targeting call. It’s way more obvious than targeting which is just a guess in most cases and a bad one at that. As far as the redneck idiot who said it’s a blessing that Terry got hurt……I agree with BluKudzu and I’ll go further. Very Stupid comment, a total ašshøle post from a blatant dickhead.
