WATCH: Kalil Branham’s at-home workout is harder than yours

Whether or not there is football this fall remains to be seen, but Kentucky freshman wide receiver Kalil Branham is doing his best to stay in shape at home.

This morning, the former four-star recruit showed off one of his “lockdown workouts” on Twitter and my abs are sore just watching it. Watch below as Branham balances on an exercise ball and catches balls from a jugs machine:

Branham was one of Kentucky’s early enrollees this spring, and in February, told Nick Roush he caught 100 passes a day from his jugs machine before coming to Lexington. During the lockdown, it looks like he’s increased that to 200 per day, going against his brother, John, who plays for Eastern Michigan, Kentucky’s first opponent of the 2020 season.

If his commitment video wasn’t indication enough, I have a feeling this kid’s going to be a fan favorite whenever football returns.

Already one of my favorites. Has been since the first time I heard his name and watched him work out. Kids a beast with the greatest work ethic I’ve saw from a kid his age. The only guys I can think of that’s put in the extra work like he does is the twin Griffin brothers that played for UCF under Scott Frost and are now both playing for the Seahawks.

Anyway, great work Kalil, keep it up buddy. Kentucky is proud to have you and we can’t wait to see you burning the SEC defenses to the ground! I know you’re going to be a great one.
