University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Vince Marrow loves Elton John, Mark Stoops loves Biggie

Of all the great things to come out of UK Football Media Day, the one that can’t be overlooked is Vince Marrow confessing his love for Elton John.

“I play Elton John in my truck 24/7,” Marrow told KSR. “Four songs: “Philadelphia Freedom,” “Rocketman,” “Tiny Dancer,” and that song, the nice little song he sings (“Your Song”).

“I’m a big fan of Elton John, big fan of Queen. I watched both of their movies. I love movies with like Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Walk The Line — I’ll probably go back and watch Elton John again today.”

He also admitted to crying, twice, when he saw the Elton John biopic, Rocketman, for the first time.

“Dude, Elton John is one of the best performers you’re ever going to see, next to Michael Jackson. I think Elton John is talented, very talented. I love Elton John. I’m going to go see him in concert. I think he is going to be in Vegas — I gotta go recruit out there, find a recruit.”

So if Marrow listens to Elton John, what kind of music does his head coach listen to? We had to ask.

“He likes Biggie,” Marrow said of Mark Stoops’ go-to artist.
