Vandy opens as a -2.5 point favorite this Saturday
What once appeared to be an easy win is looking like it’s going to be a tough outing for the Cats. Due to a somewhat surprising season from Vanderbilt and a pretty awful few weeks from Kentucky, bookies have deemed the Commodores a -2.5 point favorite for this Saturday’s contest in Nashville.
Vandy’s defense ranks in the top 25 for yards allowed, but luckily, their offense is even worse than UK’s. It looks like we’re in for a close, low scoring affair.

First team to 10 wins. A Turnover in your own Territory will be the difference. Vandy rushes the QB good, so all passes will have to be quick
The only low scoring team on that field will be UK.

The closest UK will be is when the game starts at 0 to 0.This game could wind up like Georgia and that is sad.
Only chance we got is defense showing up. If they can’t stop Vandy early and often, it’s over. I have said this since before the first game. We need 5 scores in every game to have a chance. That is if and only if, special teams does not mess up and the offense keeps the opposing teams defense from scoring on us.
With our QB situation as it is, I am not so sure we can do that.
Vandy’s D has the potential to brutalize us. I hope our D can do it to them.
Unfortunately our defense will probably have plenty of chances to stop them. Our offense can’t keep the D off the field.
I think we have a better chance of beating UL than beating Vandy. I say that because we should be coming off a win against Charlotte, and confidence will be a little higher, plus its a rivalry game. I guaranty Vandy is licking their chops, they smell blood in the water.
Kentucky needs to play Barker and leave Dawson and Towles in Lexington.

One of the few series we have a lead. 42-41 with 4 ties. Three of the ties were scoreless.
I think Towles starts but has a short leash. Vandy has a weak offense so our defense should keep us in the game. Offense needs to break out of its doldrums and score points like we did against Auburn. Hopefully, the crowd has a lot of blue. If a team ever needs support, it’s this one.
After an open week of competition at QB, Stoops announces on Wednesday “Patrick gives us the best chance to win. We just have to stick to the process. I don’t want to see any heads down on this football team.”.

Seriously, why does he even bring it to the sideline with him? The funniest thing all season was watching him throw a fit, slam his headset and cuss the ref…..and the call went FOR us.
It amazes me that we are even in this position after the way our season and Vandy’s season started. I truly thought there would be no way this season would almost be a direct duplication of last year. Strong opening and a slow fade to black. To say that Saturdays game against Vandy will be the biggest in Stoops UK tenure would be an understatement.

Vandy covers the spread. They are FAR advanced defensively and if they don’t turn the ball over on offense, they win easily.
