UK Players Making Their Presence Known Today

Regardless of what you think of Peyton Manning (I like him), if you have no rooting interest in the games today, you might want to check out the Broncos as your team of choice. Three former Cats are key players for Denver and they are making their presence known. Wesley Woodyard got a key early tackle, Jacob Tamme caught a Manning touchdown pass and Danny Trevathan got some high praise from Phil Simms. The CBS Announcers said that for a 5-6 game stretch this season, “Trevathan was the best Linebacker in the NFL.” This has led some to disagree loudly, but just being able to even make that statement with a straight face showcases what a great year Danny has had.

After three of the top five scorers in the NBA last night were former Cats, the football side is showing out today. It is Kentucky Alumni weekend in pro sports this weekend.

I don’t care for Simms on air persona but no doubt he knows football. I will be rooting for Broncos in the Superbowl.
