It won’t be a blue, black or white-out for tomorrow’s Kentucky vs. Georgia game. It’s just the Cats hosting the Dawgs for a spot in the SEC Championship game. But there is one small gimmick, if you want to call this a gimmick. UK Athletics is conducting a card stunt for UK’s new capital campaign “Kentucky Can.”
At the end of the first quarter during the TV timeout UK is going to ask fans from sections 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 to hold up their cards to create the message you see above.
Kentucky pulled a similar stunt in 2016 during the Georgia (not good news if you’re into Juju). It looked great (minus the corporate Coke ad) but the Cats lost the game on a last second field goal. I’m sure “Kentucky Can” will look great on Saturday, but let’s hope there’s a different ending this time against Georgia.
Also, I’m guessing we’re going to start seeing and hearing “Kentucky Can” a lot more in the future. I dig it.
