UK orchestrates "Kentucky Can" card stunt for Saturday

It won’t be a blue, black or white-out for tomorrow’s Kentucky vs. Georgia game. It’s just the Cats hosting the Dawgs for a spot in the SEC Championship game. But there is one small gimmick, if you want to call this a gimmick. UK Athletics is conducting a card stunt for UK’s new capital campaign “Kentucky Can.”

At the end of the first quarter during the TV timeout UK is going to ask fans from sections 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 to hold up their cards to create the message you see above.

Kentucky pulled a similar stunt in 2016 during the Georgia (not good news if you’re into Juju). It looked great (minus the corporate Coke ad) but the Cats lost the game on a last second field goal. I’m sure “Kentucky Can” will look great on Saturday, but let’s hope there’s a different ending this time against Georgia.

Also, I’m guessing we’re going to start seeing and hearing “Kentucky Can” a lot more in the future. I dig it.

Isn’t the “K” in Kentucky Can in the Georgia section?
It may just say “entucky can” if Georgia fans decide not to cooperate?

This will be a huge fail. K will be in the Georgia section, like a few others have said.

It’s not in the Georgia section. It’s right beside it.

The 100 levels are under the balcony aren’t they? Field level are single and double digit sections

That is sections 1 – 11. Visitor section is 12 and 13. Facts are option even in the comment section. 🙂

Lol. I was wrong. Still though, wish we didn’t go with Kentucky Can, but rather something like WILDCATS or GET UP.

You should present yourself a little better than your current state. “Kentucky Can” seems inferior to me. “The Little Engine that Could” I guess. Swing the big slogan! Lots of folks look up at the top of the mountain, but alpha would never say that…

I agree. I think Kentucky can sounds childish. It should say F%#k Tebow.

Hmmmm…. for this game, why not large 10’ x 6’ hanging photo sheet signs from the upper decks: one of Benny Snell and one of Josh Allen ( just like those that the Steelers used to hang for the Steel Curtain ) . Now those, if done well, would be impressive!
