Here’s an odd but encouraging stat: UK has the sixth most explosive offense in college football, with 10.1% of their plays going for at least 20 yards. Baylor is the most explosive offense with 13.3%, followed by Ole Miss, USC, Georgia, North Carolina, and then the Cats.

Here’s one of those plays from Saturday night, Dorian Baker’s incredible one-handed catch for 25 yards on 3rd and 5:

Hey where did the press conference post go? I read it, went to comment, and now it’s gone. I don’t understand why Stoops wants to play Barker for a short period of time against EKU when Barker has had problems w EKU players. Then Stoops emphasized that there will be zero tolerance for any chippiness during the game. So why would you play someone who was in fights with them when the dude normally wouldn’t see the field.

He’s out backup so he needs real-game reps. Because the other games have been so close, this will be the first chance to finally get Barker some. That fact that it is EKU is purely coincidental.

Cause wants to see him in a game time situation with little risk.

I thought the recruiting patio was supposed to be empty during the game? I’m going to assume Matt knows how to get those tickets from GOTCT.com?

They are not allowed to have any RECRUITS on the patio or in the room. There are probably a couple handful of staffers who operate the recruiting room, before, halftime, and after the game, that get to watch the game from the patio.

Maybe to test the kids’ resolve? Let’s see how Barker has matured.
