UK Football has the worst odds to win the SEC

Kentucky finished third in the SEC East last year, but in the eyes of the oddsmakers, they have the worst chance of winning the conference next season.

Online sportsbook BetOnline.ag released their odds to win the SEC and Kentucky is tied with Vandy at 100/1:

Alabama +150
Georgia 3/1
Auburn 7/1
Mississippi State 10/1
Florida 14/1
Texas A&M 16/1
LSU 16/1
South Carolina 20/1
Missouri 20/1
Tennessee 50/1
Ole Miss 50/1
Arkansas 50/1
Vanderbilt 100/1
Kentucky 100/1

Ouch. As always, Kentucky’s schedule isn’t easy, but they do have one of the conference’s best running backs in Benny Snell, a weapon in CJ Conrad, an experienced offensive line, and some legit NFL prospects. Yet, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Missouri all have better chances to win the conference? It’s pretty telling when Barry Odom is the only coach out of those four programs I can remember off the top of my head.

Can someone please show this to Benny?

@iambennysnelljr, is not letting us be ranked 71st in the nation! #BBN

    Wow.

    Respect is earned.

Time to earn it this year. 71st in the country, last in the SEC. Hoping we are better than what Vegas thinks, given the odds….

We’ve beat SCar for 3 years in a row and still are ranked behind them. The media truly loves them. Honestly, we were very close last year minus a couple bonehead plays in a few games.

Dont understand how we are below south carolina and missouri and tied with vanderbilt when we beat them last year and return most of our starters

LOL, everybody except two or three teams should be 100-1.

South Carolina finished the year stronger than us. We do have to earn respect. Gotta beat some of the bigger boys.

This is not last year! We had a golden opportunity with the weakest SEC schedule I’ve ever seen & couldn’t capitalize. SC, Mizzou & Tennessee will all be better this year.

The Vegas Golden Knights were 500-1 odds to win the Stanley Cup at the beginning of the year. One sportswriter even called them the UK football of the NHL. Please don’t bother looking up that quote.

Fortunately, we play Vanderbilt at Kroger Field this year which may allow us possibly to have a 1-7 SEC record and 4-8 overall record. The 4 million $ man will be 30-44 after 6 seasons. Other SEC coaches were fired for better records last year, but UK gave their coach a raise and extension for stability. Trying to understand the logic?
