UK Football getting ready for the “red team”

When you walk into the Joe Craft Football Training Facility, the first thing you’ll see behind the Governor’s Cup trophy is a massive screen that features highlights and a graphic that states, “Beat the Red Team.”
It’s the first of three Governor’s Cup images that do not mention Louisville by name. Well, one does, but there’s a line that strikes through Louisville.

Lynn Bowden isn’t the only player who “doesn’t say that name around here.” The whole team is leaving Louisville out of their vocabulary this week.
“I don’t even know what word you’re talking about,” said Calvin Taylor Jr. “I don’t know about that color.”
If you walk through the lobby of the Joe Craft Football Training Facility into the UK locker room, you will not find the color red anywhere in sight.
“We don’t allow red in the facility year round,” revealed senior offensive lineman Logan Stenberg. “This week it just steps up a little bit more.”
Beat the red team.

GO CATS!
Beat the Red team and we will be bowling in Florida.
Louisville did the exact same thing when we beat Louisville at Louisville with Lamar Jackson. You should always respect every opponent, including Louisville. Not a smart coaching decision..
Not to compare us to OSU, but they cross out the letter M on everything this week and have won like 12 in a row against them. So not sure how this affects the game.
Exactly. Not only is it counterproductive, its unoriginal. Add in Stoops’ teams penchant for unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and I expect things to get ugly/costly.
Y’all are over thinking this. It’s college. There’s pep rallies. People hv bonfires. They hang sheets on the fraternity houses, paint their chests and talk about it all week. It’s emotional. Whatever puts a spring in ur step. Lighten up.
LETS GET IT!!!!!!!!
Beat the cards!!
