UK Football Fan Day set for August 9

Your University of Kentucky football program will hold its annual ‘Fan Day’ on Saturday, August 9th at Commonwealth Stadium this year. The autograph session with the players will begin at 9:00 am, followed by an open practice at 10:45 am.

Last year’s open practice/scrimmage was played in the rain, but it was still a very fun event with a surprisingly good turnout for the weather. I spent most of the time watching Za’Darius Smith do pushups on the sidelines in full pads because he was out with a tweaked ankle. It was my first time seeing him in person.

You should go this year and show your support for the Cats as the season opener draws near.

It’s a great opportunity to get an autograph from future Arena League players.

Stay home and go to UL’s fan day, great place to get autographs of convicted felons.

Watch out. UL has about 5 or 6 more players in the NFL. This won’t be the case soon enough as UK’s recruiting is picking up. Also, in terms of NFL success I’d say it’s close.

A lot of it starts with recruiting. Other conferences are top heavy and will have a few teams do well recruiting. Almost all of the teams in the SEC have recruited well over this past decade which is why the conference has by far the most players in the league, and most pro-bowlers. UK will fall in line with this trend soon enough as Stoops continue’s to get his recruits.

Noticed the UL trolls don’t troll the basketball related posts much at all anymore. Why’s that?

I wish people that aren’t UK fans would stay of UK Football Page . To run down this years team already and before a game has been played is unacceptable. And I believe the future is just going to be brighter.

Don’t worry, U of L is about to get knocked off their high horse when they find out what its like to play in a real conference this season. They think they’re great because they’ve been feasting on cupcakes in C-USA, that bastion of football awesomeness known as the Big East, and the AAC. Its going to be a rude awakening in the ACC.

Actually they’ve been predicted by most to finish 3rd in the conference in their debut season.

I wonder why it was moved to the morning? Those of us who live out of town, several hours I might add, find this a difficult time to get there. Planned on bringing the grand kids, but getting them up and out by 5:30 am for 3 1/2 hour drive, don’t think its going to happen. Just interested to know the reason.
