UK Athletics getting dirty to get CWS ready

UK Athletics is #ALLIN on getting Commonwealth Stadium ready for tomorrow night’s game. Earlier in the week, Mrs. Tyler spoke to Janee Thompson about UK Hoops’ voluntary cleaning effort. Thompson told Tyler, “We were up in the suites cleaning the cabinets and refrigerators, and it looks so nice in there.”

Matthew Mitchell even got his hands dirty:

And this morning, Mitch Barnhart was spotted with a Shop-Vac in his hands.

No position in the athletic department is too high up to help out.

UK Gymnastics, too:

Round of applause to everyone around the athletic department who volunteered their time this week so we, the fans, can enjoy tomorrow night.

Will ticket holders be required to wear hard hats or sign some kind of waiver?

Good to see Mitch wearing his old logo gear. Wouldn’t want to dirty up the new logo.

That’s the new logo on Mitch’s shirt. I love how you’re complaining yet apparently can’t tell the difference

Notice these are only pictures, no actual videos of anyone performing the work.

might just be me being self centered, but I was disappointed to not hear Mitch, or anyone else, thank all of the hard work all construction workers have been doing all week.. I think it is great that the athletes have been getting in there to help, and it should be recognized.. But we should also be recognized for putting in 12 hour days/nights every day for the last 3 weeks trying to clean up the mess that everyone made there. Or hanging from the roof cleaning all of that new glass. nevertheless, I am proud to have been a part of getting it all ready.

You must not listen to KSR, if you haven’t heard Mitch thank folks who’ve worked hard. He did on Thursday’s sho.
