UK and Tennessee set for 7:30 kickoff

Thanks to the Breeder’s Cup, Kentucky’s home game against Tennessee will kick off at 7:30 pm, as expected. It will be televised on the SEC Network.

Halloween weekend in Lexington will be madness.

Now that the kickoff time is official, you all need to push to have all the tailgaters prepare for trick or treating at the stadium since the City of Lexington won’t change the time for it.

Need to trick the Vols and treat them to a good butt kicking.

Agree with Marc. I would even go so far as to have the University make a formal announcement.

Agreed! We are season ticket holders and live 90 minutes from Lexington. Our boys will wear costumes and trick or treat on the way to the stadium and in the parking lot beforehand with the fans we know there. We don’t have a parking pass so my concern is: are they going to be allowed to bring their haul into CWS with the “no outside food” rule? It would at least be nice for the University to address the issue, it’s not like they don’t recognize that kids are at the game…they do the Jr Wildcat thing every game.

What we really need, is a coach with a big ginger beard.

Kids don’t need a bunch of junk food anyway. Terrible idea to have the kids go around to a bunch of drunk fans to ask for candy. Either go to the game, or stay home and trick or treat. No one should feel responsible to hand out junk to kids.

So you would rather have your kids walk around neighborhood streets with the drunks from the Breeders Cup just getting home??? And who says you have to hand out junk food, plenty of people hand out healthier snacks these days.

I’m getting married that night but won’t allow any TVs at the reception because I don’t want to draw the focus away from the Bruno Mars cover band

Do we really have to stand for the entire game again? Before you start on have you seen other schools, yes I have, been to all SEC, and they don’t do it. Look at the NFL as well, they dont stand the entire game! We are talking about standing the entire game here.

I am all for standing on big plays, etc but this is getting stupid. You dont have to stand entire game to be “loud”. And no Im not some old man, only 30.

I don’t like to stand either and I’m under 30 as well, although standing is better than sitting with your knees in someone’s back. With all the stadium adjustments, why didn’t they give us more legroom? If I’m paying good money to go to a game I expect to be comfortable at all times.

Only SEC fans that stand the whole game are at Texas A&M. They’ve got a tradition behind the practice, so it’s not just random. No need for UK fans to stand the whole game because that’s another team’s thing, but there is a need to be LOUD. Gotta get CWS up and out of the doldrums it experiences at times. By the way, catch a game at Kyle Field when we play TAMU in a few years. Impressive experience.
