Two Cats earn SEC Player of the Week honors

Congratulations to Benny Snell and Adrian Middleton, who just took home SEC Player of the Week honors for their performances in Kentucky’s dominating win over Missouri.
Snell was voted SEC Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row. The freshman running back was dominant vs. Missouri, rushing 38 times for 192 yards and two touchdowns, a performance that broke Randall Cobb’s UK Freshman record of seven rushing touchdowns. His 192 yards is a UK freshman record and one of the top ten rushing performances in UK history.
Meanwhile, Middleton was a highlight of a surprisingly stout defensive line. The sophomore defensive tackle from Bowling Green made four tackles, including a tackle for loss, which came at a key moment. With UK leading 7-0, on a 3rd-and-1 play at the end of the first quarter, Middleton threw a Missouri player back for a two-yard loss to force a punt. UK took the punt and turned it into a touchdown drive, increasing the lead to 14-0.
Congratulations, guys. Let’s celebrate by watching Saturday’s highlights again:
