Dawson was Pleased with the Offense vs. Auburn
“We executed about as good as we have this year,” Dawson said before adding, “But there were still about three plays that they need to learn from.” The interception was definitely one of them, “It’s a tough one to learn from.”
Is Patrick Towles a different QB at home and on the road?
“It sure does look like it. I don’t know. It shouldn’t be that way if it is. I think on the road I might have a different mentality because it’s us versus them. Our 100 guys against 80,000. I like that. There is a little added pressure when you play at home. Especially being from this state and playing in front of your friends and stuff, there is (more pressure). Being an athlete at this level, you should be past that, but sometimes I’m not. But I’m getting better with that for sure.”
Dawson and Towles agree: Cowbells are horrible
Patrick tried to be diplomatic, by saying he appreciated their tradition, but had a horror story to share. A cousin of his married into the fan base. At the wedding, they rang cowbells, “It was horrible.” Dawson was less diplomatic, nor is he looking forward to practices later this week featuring the incessant ringing, “We’re going to do some stuff with cowbells. (I’m) About to kill myself.”
I Got Grilled
I knew it was coming from Shannon Dawson but I still had to ask my question. Listen for the full story on the podcast, which reminds me…I’m running late.
