Today On KSR: Don’t stop enjoying it yet

It’s feeling like ’84 on this Monday morning after a UK win in Knoxville, a new life experience for anyone 35 and younger across Big Blue Nation. Right now Cats fans are walking into work and seeing co-workers, colleagues and customers they haven’t seen since Friday’s “is this the year?” talk before the weekend. It’s now Monday morning, but they have that same energy they had after the game Saturday afternoon. Let’s feed it with some Kenny Loggins.

Now get out there and chest bump somebody because this party ain’t over. And to all of the Cats fans near Knoxville in Eastern Kentucky and everyone near the Kentucky-Tennessee border, there is no such thing as too much trash talk today. Be relentless because you earned it.

But read today’s morning notes first…

Football Link Dump:

These are some of our postgame stories and links (for those of you who were in no condition to read a website Saturday night):

Videos from UK’s locker room celebration
Video highlights from the game
“Terry Wilson is one of two UK quarterbacks to win at Tennessee and Florida… ever.”
Wilson’s shirt read “RECORDS R BROKEN”
Coach Schlarman gave a pregame speech and then got the game ball in Knoxville
KSR Postgame Show replay
Mark Stoops celebrates with bourbon and cigar
Videos: Postgame press conferences (Mark Stoops, Jamin Davis, Terry Wilson)
“Talented Kentucky Freshmen Debut at Tennessee”
Maggard: “Kentucky vs. Tennessee After Action Review”
Thompson: “Why this win over Tennessee means so much”

You can also click the Football tab at the top of the page and scroll for hours.

We’ll hear from Mark Stoops at noon.

Mizzou Week will get going with words from Mark Stoops in his Monday afternoon press conference. Stoops will step in front of his webcam to answer all of the questions reporters have from Saturday’s win and what to expect in the challenge ahead in the Missouri Tigers.

There will be plenty of football content here on KSR throughout the day, beginning with a new depth chart in a couple of hours.

The KSR Football Podcast will record a new episode.

Shortly after you consume everything Mark Stoops has to say, keep the party going with a new episode of the KSR Football Podcast. Nick Roush, Freddie Maggard, Charles Walker and I are recording this week’s show in time for it to be out for your drive home, maybe even your lunch break. Stay tuned.

BREAKING: The Vols fired Jimmy Brumbaugh.

From the newswire, Tennessee has fired co-defensive coordinator Jimmy Brumbaugh, Mark Stoops’ former assistant of four years.

Tennessee Fires Defensive Line Coach Jimmy Brumbaugh After Kentucky Loss

Pruitt expected more from Brumbaugh against his old boss, apparently.

Kentucky Basketball had its first full weekend of practice.

While Big Blue Nation’s undivided attention was on Knoxville over the weekend, John Calipari’s program snuck in five practices in three days back in Lexington. The Cats practiced once on Friday, twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday, and will now take Monday off to catch up on rest and Netflix.

Calipari gave his analysis of the team after Sunday’s two-a-day:

The Atlanta Braves blew a 3-1 lead in the NLCS.

The Dodgers are on to the world series as the Atlanta sports curse continues.

Game 1 of the LA-Tampa Bay World Series begins tomorrow night.

Tennessee Titans Report: Still undefeated.

It’s going to be a fun day on both KSR the show and here on KSR the website. I highly recommend you check out both if you enjoy UK Football happiness.

Yes Drew, please let Tennessee run the ball against the Steelers next weekend! Bud Dupree and Benny Snell says they can’t wait to help ANOTHER Tennessee team lose! It’s payback time for the Steelers losing their bye week! Go Steelers!

I wrote this song a long time ago
It was the dopest song I ever wrote, in ’84.

Just a little humor playing off the Chapelle skit by Fake Tupac. Just had to switch it a little from 94 to 84.
