When asked about Raymond Sanders after the game, Mark Stoops hinted at some issues, but said that ultimately, “there was never a situation in which Raymond was going to be off the team.” Stoops said there are “some things we were working through with Raymond that cost him practice,” therefore he did not start.

Why did we ever think RS was off the team?

duhhh, because the blind savior Matt Jones and co backed the rumors. MJ should just change the sites name to “The Big Blue Onion” since all this site does is start egregious rumors with little to no fact. MJ usually gets the ball rolling by saying something along the lines of “this just in, _____ is about to go down in flames, I have no evidence to prove this, but no one has any evidence to disprove it so it must be true” Jones is the epitome of a classless douche with zero journalistic integrity. He is the antithesis of class.

-Rupp’s slave (great name by the way…how clever you must be)…You seem to really not like Matt Jones. Do you realize that each time you click on this site you are putting money in his pocket???

Yes, that is correct, Matt Jones gets paid based upon the number of hits this site receives. So all of you trolls and haters just keeping clicking on KSR and Matt Jones will keep laughing all the way to the bank. HaHa.

So Matt gets publicly shamed and earns a fraction of a cent, great business model.

Jones is running away from the rumor faster than Georgia put up some of those TD’s last night.

CAts Fan Rashawn Franklin was the reporter who said that Raymond Sanders was kicked off the team not Matt Jones or anybody else from this website. Matt even said friday on his radio show that he did not know who was off the team.

It is truly bizarre to me how some people get so worked up when anyone criticizes Matt. I know he gets money from hits & I like the site & love the wildcats. But hell, people screw up and make mistakes. So just put a post up apologizing for the mistake, what’s hard about that? It’s the least the site can do for irresponsibly dragging sanders name through the dirt. It is classless to take the attitude that someone else started the rumor, ksr put it on blast, so just say you messed up! It’s not that hard. If it were a basketball player they would take out a full page ad in the paper to apologize, but since Raymond sanders doesn’t matter to them they just say, “I didn’t start the rumor” and acknowledge no wrong doing. Pretty sickening! Do the right thing, apologize to the kid!

Joe – There is no need for KSR to apologize for placing it on the site. LEX18 reported the same thing, as did WKYT. They all said Franklin was reporting it. Do they need to issue apologies also?? Matt repeatedly said that he could not confirm the report.

If he couldn’t confirm it, why report it? Not saying you’re lying but I watch the local news on 18 and they never mentioned it, don’t know about wkyt. Also no mention in the herald leader, just the actual suspensions, not the made up one. Even if others screwed up why not apologize? They clearly got it wrong. It’s a cop out excuse to say others did it too. I just think it’s shitty to the kid that’s all

This is not how you correct your mistake. You make a separate head and you say you were wrong about the kid and you apologize to him and to the readers to whom you misinformed.

You printed a story that you admitted you had doubts about the accuracy of and could not verify it yourself but you printed or (allegedly) reprinted it.

Don’t leave yourself out on a limb.
