There was a BIG Difference Between the First Half and the Second

There haven’t been many better halves of football than what we saw from Kentucky in the first half.  Take away the interception, and South Carolina had next to nothing.  It was textbook domination, until Connor Mitch was sidelined with an injury and the unforgiving third quarter arrived.

The best way to describe it…

When Stoops was asked about it after the game, he joked, “I don’t even know what you’re talking about.”

He gave credit to South Carolina’s scheme, but also attributed it to costly mental mistakes.  They began back-to-back drives with holding penalties.

Regardless, Stoops knows his team will have to fight through adversity to be successful.
