Today’s game was what Freddie Maggard called an “airport game,” or a win big enough that fans would go to Bluegrass Airport to meet the team when they landed back in Lexington. Right now, there’s a movement on Twitter of fans wanting to do just that, and according to UK, the team’s flight will land at TAC Air at Bluegrass Airport around 6:45 – 7:00 p.m. Fans can park at the Aviation Museum and greet the team by the fence.
For a team that felt as though everyone was against them after the season started, can you imagine a sweeter reward?

Tyler, no wonder the team felt as if everyone was against them. I watched early on as KSR…particularly you and Matt Jones threw this team under the bus. You guys set a tone…a totally negative tone toward Stoops and his team coaching and program. Shame on you guys. Yes I blasted you guys after the South Carolina game. I certainly had no idea the season would play out like it has and I don’t know what will happen going forward. The point is neither did you guys. But I had a feeling this would happen and the reason was good recruiting, returning experienced young talent, and I happen to think Stoops is an outstanding coach. It’s time you guys step up and take ownership and eat your crow and admit you over reacted and led much of the less enlightened BBN to do the same. We need more Chesters, not websites that try and blast those attempting what likely is one of the very toughest jobs in all of sport…changing Kentucky football.
Agree. After the southern miss and Florida losses there was so much negativity. I believed in these boys all along as you did too katmadue2you. Amazing how a couple of wins changes everything and they act like they believed in them all along.
