The Rain is Unrelenting at Commonwealth Stadium

img_1930

To everyone who has braved the elements to tailgate outside of Commonwealth Stadium, God Bless You.

The rain that was supposed to stay away arrived just in time for fans to start tailgating.  It’s not a light drizzle either.  I’m soaked in the press box, happy to have my laptop still intact.

Luckily, it’s not all bad news.  Even though the rain is taking the fun out of tailgating, it should be gone near game time.  When I left Louisville, the system had already passed.  By the time I made it to Lexington, the system still hadn’t moved into the area.

We should be good to go for the 4:00 kickoff, but until then, stay dry Lexington.

Perfect mood setter, just like the Vandy game a few years ago.

Yeah the rain will slow down this explosive UK offense….lol.

Speaking of “unrelenting”…we should probably just forfeit the UL game, unless UK just really wants to be on the receiving end of a historically bad beatdown. I’m predicting somewhere in the neighborhood of Spurrier-era Florida…maybe worse.

Was watching Clemson and SC State, they shortened the quarters to 12 minute quarters in the second half. Wonder if we can arrange something like that for Alabama, UT, UL, Georgia, Vandy, USC…never mind.

If Petrino wanted to put up 100 points and over a 1,000 yards just to stick it to Mitch, I think he could probably accomplish that.

It will be worse. I hate UL but they will beat us as bad as Petrino wants to. They are going to give #2 Florida state their worst loss in history.

You say it will be gone by game time, the rain or the fun?
