It’s been a while since Kentucky has defeated the Auburn Tigers, six years to be exact. On Oct. 18, 2009 Kentucky defeated Auburn 21-14. Randall Cobb scored the go-ahead touchdown with 3:17 left on the clock in the 4th quarter to seal the victory.

Randall Cobb lead the team in rushing with 19 carries for 126 yards and one touchdown. Chris Matthews lead the team in receiving with two receptions for 30 yards.

Morgan Newtown went 5/13 for 39 yards before being replaced by Will Fidler who came off the bench to lead the comeback. Fidler was 4/9 for 36 yards. Gosh I do not miss those days.

This win was Kentucky’s first win over Auburn since 1966. Wow.

Beat Auburn.

I counted the UGA as a sure loss this season but Chubb just went down with a very bad looking injury. Hate to see it as it appears his season is over. UGA still has talent but without Nick they are not as good for sure. Best wishes for Nick on his recovery.
