Tennessee’s running back is fast

UT Athletics

Jalen Hurd has posted two videos of himself running on a treadmill and the Tennessee junior back is very fast. While watching this video all I could think about is who on Kentucky’s defense is going to stop him…

The first video shows Hurd running at 23.1 MPH.

The second video shows Hurd running at 12 MPH but at an incline.

But really, who is going to stop this guy?

I’m pretty sure Bud Dupree was clocked around 22MPH a couple of years ago. At 6-4, 267…

This kid will stop himself. He went to UT… that says plenty about his decision making.

This is a really weird thing to get excited about. He’s a very good running back, but his height and lack of lateral quickness hurts him, at least in terms of making the league. Still agree that UK will not be stopping him this year, but that has less to do with him and more to do with our d-line.
