Josh Allen is going to need a place to store all of the awards he has received and will continue to receive for being awesome at football. On Tuesday he added yet another prize as he was named the Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week for the THIRD TIME this season.
Allen received the award for his career-high 15 tackles, including two sacks and two tackles for loss in Kentucky’s win over Middle Tennessee on Senior Day this past weekend. With 27.5 career sacks and 13 sacks on the season, Allen now holds UK’s career and single-season records.
By now you know the drill: UK will receive $1,000 for its general scholarship fund in recognition of Allen’s performance as the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week.
The last player to win the Lott IMPACT Player of the Week award three times was Manti Te’o of Notre Dame in 2012 but he doesn’t count because he had an imaginary girlfriend.
