Coach Stoops was asked many questions from the SEC Nation crew about today’s game, but the most interesting response came when they asked Mark if he had talked to his Brother Bob about the Vols.
Bob’s Oklahoma Sooners were trailing by two touchdowns in Neyland Stadium before putting together a 4th quarter comeback victory. Before the game, Finebaum had called out Bob on his program as “irrelevant.” After getting the Dub, Bob made Paul eat his words, “He doesn’t deserve the attention from me. Bottom line: ask 105,000 Tennessee fans if we’re relevant.”
Mark said he talked to Bob about Tennessee, but he was quick to poke fun at Paul. “I know you were really disappointed Bob pulled that out. You weren’t getting in on his case were you?”
He got laughs from everybody. Even more when Joe Tessitore asked Mark how long Finebaum would last in Youngstown, “Not long. He’d be in the Mahoning River,” he replied through many laughs.
As funny as it was, the man in the Jared Lorenzen costume continues to win the day. He’s getting more TV time than a crying Tebow. Before Stoops’ time was up, they brought Jared’s double back on the air, “I’ll always take the Hefty Lefty back.”
