Fox Sports’ Stewart Mandel called in to Kentucky Sports Radio radio this morning to explain his 7-5 prediction for Kentucky football’s 2015 season.
“It’s a combination of: I like the progress they’re making under Mark Stoops; you’ve got a good quarterback coming back; they made a great move at OC; and thne also just taking advantage of a lot of the East division is in flux, quite frankly. I think Florida is in for a rough year in Jim McElwain’s first season because of, really, just an atrocious offensive line that got left behind there. I think Steve Spurrier’s days of winning 11 games at South Carolina are over. Obviously Vanderbilt is a mess. So it’s a good window, a good year for Kentucky to make that move up.”
Mandel predicts a 4-4 conference record for the Cats, meaning he expects Louisville to get the win in the season finale in Commonwealth Stadium. (Boooooooooooo!)
“I’m very high on Louisville,” he explained.
