South Carolina Student Rushes the Field, Banned for Rest of the Year

Tennessee had one last desperate chance to tie the game and force overtime in Columbia, South Carolina, but a 58-yard field goal fell short.  After it hit the turf, Will Mackey hit the ground running.

The South Carolina student expected others to follow his lead and rush the field following the upset of the 18th-ranked Vols.  Instead, he rushed the field alone.  Luckily, he captured it on video for all of us to see.

Violating the SEC’s anti-field rushing policy, Mackey will no longer be allowed to attend South Carolina football games this season.  Even though he must sacrifice for the rest of the year, it’s gotta be the best decision he’s ever made.

Was it a punishment or a blessing not to have to watch USC the rest of the year?
