South Carolina player says Commonwealth Stadium is “quiet”

You’ve been called out, Big Blue Nation.
South Carolina safety Chris Moody told reporters Kentucky is an odd place to play, when speaking to the media after practice down in Columbia earlier today.
“Just so weird when you get off the bus in the stadium,” Moody said. “A weird place to play. Can’t tell you why. It’s quiet.”
Moody was on the South Carolina team that traveled to Lexington only to be upset in 2014. That was one of the best Commonwealth Stadium environments since the Rich Brooks era, so if he thought that was quiet, it’s a real slap to the fan base.
How did he think this was quiet?
Or this?
We’re insulted.

I blame Section 225
Well, he said when he gets off the bus, it’s quiet. Seems pretty accurate, especially since about 10k of our fans don’t get to their seats until halfway through the first quarter. Go Cats.
Also, wouldn’t the team arrive at the stadium a good 1 1/2 to 2 hours prior to kickoff?
I agree with him. Granted, outside of Lexington, I’ve only ever been to Starkville for an SEC game, but the other SEC stadiums seem much louder than CWS and the fans more rowdy than ours on TV. Well, maybe not Vandy.
He also said that they got off the bus IN the stadium. Wonder how the bus got in there. The tunnels areawful small for a bus to fit through.
Petition to bring back the black uniforms with chrome helmets?
Sorry but this doesn’t qualify as bulletin board material. And I’m sure he has heard stadiums that were much louder than Commonwealth.
Just as long as it is not silent by halftime, I could not care less what that guy thinks.
I am more worried about defense than what this dude says about the decibel level at commonwealth.
I hope the silence is deafening. No one should show up to this coaching nightmare! I hope its a ghost town until changes are made!
CWS fans are much like the Team. They have no situational awareness. They lack the energy and fire to execute when it really matters. They tend to become detached from the action on the field after the first quarter. Most of them on either on thier way to a party by halftime or at least thinking about it.
Anyone that has been to a game in S.C. will attest that it’s LOUD.
Sounds like this kid has called out the KY Fans…………..guess we should prove him wrong!! GO CATS!!! Time for all the whiners to show some support! Lets make it 3 years in a row!
People forget that after that “show” by the kickoff team, S. Carolina ran the kickoff back to near mid-field.
…..and lost.
It’ll be really quiet with about 25% capacity and we are down 20.
The only time he’s been to commonwealth it was crazy loud for the entire game. Thats the day I would have given Stoops a extinction.
I have college buddies from Georgia and Tennesse, plus a Buckeye, and I’ve brought them to a game or two. Everyone has said Commonwealth is remarkably quite. Basically, how loud it get’s on big third downs is how their stadiums are for the entire game.
Not nearly as quiet as Vandy, but then again, that’s Vandy. Don’t really wish to be compared to them…
