Social Media Reactions From Kentucky’s Loss to Tennessee

As we all know, last night was not the best game at Kroger Field. As it got colder throughout the night, the more stagnant the offense was as they didn’t score a point in the last three quarters of the game. Even with an interception to his name, Lynn Bowden put the team on his back with 114 yards on 26 carries but that was not enough for the Cats. So let’s get to what Twitter had to say about last night.

Lynn Bowden Post Game

As everyone was stuck in traffic, Lynn Bowden went to Twitter about the game he just played.

As you can tell Bowden has gone dark on Twitter, after like a loss like that, I don’t blame the guy.

I guess it was Rocking in the USA day at Kroger Field with an epic rendition of the National Anthem!

Wedding Day at Kroger Field

What an epic way to get married on Gameday – in the stadium. AMAZING!

Man, Quinton Bohanna has a cannon…

Here’s his response

Impeccable form!

Recruits were in attendance for the game

Lynn Bowden’s performance last night

Again, in a Kentucky defeat, Lynn Bowden didn’t disappoint with his running attack.

Gotta love those KSR references!

Always have to love the KSR references in the broadcasts. Just give Tom Hart the award now for best sports announcer of 2019.

After last night, the Cats are now 4-5 with A LOT of football left to play. Going to be a fun weekend in Nashville! Go Cats!

Does anyone really think that the UK coaches wouldn’t play Sawyer Smith if they thought he could win the game? Injuries not withstanding coaches play the guys they trust and that give them the best chance to win. Anyone that thinks otherwise doesn’t understand sports.

Your comments are way too logical for most on here. The people whining to play Smith last night are the same ones saying that Bowden should have been quarterback a month ago. I listened to some idiots at the game last night. Gran wasn’t calling enough passes, then wasn’t calling enough runs. Get more creative, no run more straight up the middle. Also, will someone tell our idiotic fans you don’t scream when we are on offense and they’re trying to call a play. As smart as our fans on for basketball, we sure have some morons who attend the game. Not all, but some.

Tell the idiot operating the jumbo Tron. Putting up the blue white cheer when we have the ball. Apparently employees are equally stupid.

Coach trusted Smith on the sneak. He’s healthy, should have got a shot. He was the starter before his injuries. He was trusted then.

I didn’t mean kjd’s comment was good, he’s ignorant as usual.

I never said Bowden should have been quarterback and this program is bigger than any player or coach I can criticize and praise when I choose I believe stoops pushes a player for the recruits to see having a great game and on sports center that’s what recruits are looking for yes he wants to win but recruiting is first and foremost

They play who they plan to play see sc game with sawyer and a bum shoulder. See Tennessee game with the same 6 plays. No adjustments. Also someone teach Bowden English.

I was really surprised by the Tennessee fans reactions to Bowden’s tweet, he has their respect and he has mine. If you haven’t read what their fans said you should.

Boy, KSR really whitewashed what everyone was really thinking. Gran needs to move on.

      Gran is controlled by Stoops.

Agreed, every oc has been controlled by Stoops

True, every OC we’ve had everybody is complaining about. However, they are all doing what Stoops wants. That’s the bottom line.

Let’s keep trying to run the ball 95% of the time. Come see about it! Tired of excuses, tired of losing year after year to crappy UT teams.

TN changed QBs when it was evident their starter wasn’t able to move the team. That’s what smart competent coaches do. Gran’s play calling and personnel moves have been head scratching since his arrival. When he does call a pass play for Bowden it is usually a 40 yarder which has little chance of completion because of lack of arm strength. Did Gran forget we have a TE on the team. We once had a QB who couldn’t break a pane of glass, Dusty Bonner, but he completed a zillion passes to our TE on quick easy throws. Think of how much more effective our backs would be with the threat of a pass. Gran has proven to be a liability time and time again.

Good points professor. No way we shouldn’t at some point put a QB in game to play QB.

The fact they have not run a single screen pass or quick out to a wideout is indicative of the problem. OK, so Bowden doesn’t have great arm strength and is smallish for a QB. Seems to me these are two types of passes he could complete…if anything just to keep the defense honest.
