SEC coaches talk anonymously about Kentucky

anonymous-coach

Saturday Down South spoke to the coaches of the Southeastern Conference about each of the league’s 14 teams, and some of the quotes were released today, anonymously.

Below you’ll find what three mystery SEC head coaches had to say about Mark Stoops’ Wildcats entering his third season.

It’s all positive!

Kentucky Wildcats

“This is Year 3 for Mark Stoops, so I think the system is in place with what they want to do. And being a defensive guy, he’s going to make sure they’re good on that side of the ball.”

“I really like Patrick Towles. He’s big and he’s more athletic than you think. He doesn’t get a lot of publicity because he’s at Kentucky, but I think he’s one of the better quarterbacks in the league.”

“They have some nice-looking skill guys and do a good job spreading the ball around, but you still have to get it done up front in this league to win big.”

My completely random guesses:

Quote 1: Dan Mullen

Quote 2: Steve Spurrier

Quote 3: Mark Richt

That is only about 100 lbs difference between this year and last year, but it does not indicate change of BMI. I am sure you take the same players minus the fat plus the muscle, you will have a much tougher bunch of players.

Good hearing that it happens up front to win big in the SEC because that’s exactly what we will have here soon, good things are coming thanks to stoops and co.

Hey JRock1966, recheck the quote (if #2 is from Steve Spurrier).

He’s clearly still pissed at losing out on Kash Daniel by saying, “… he doesn’t get a lot of publicity because he’s at Kentucky.”

Guess what people… publicity is fat in the SEC regardless of the team. If your good then you get it…

See any player from our past to confirm.

My guy single-handedly put up 266 RUSHING yards against that other team up in Kentucky in our last bowl, and they had 12 NFL players drafted.
