University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Saturday is Heroes’ Day at Commonwealth Stadium

We’ve honored our veterans and first responders earlier this month, but UK football isn’t going to let it slide just because Veteran’s Day has passed.  For November’s first home game, Kentucky is offering two free tickets to all service members.  This includes all active duty military, veterans, reserves, police, firefighters and first responders.  All you have to do is present some type of service ID at will call between Gates 9 and 10.  The will call booth opens at 10:00 am.

Pregame ceremonies will also pay homage, with State Trooper Billy Gregory performing the national anthem on a field that is completely covered by an American flag.

Even though many are worried about a low turnout, I am confident many service men and women will take advantage of this opportunity.
