Saturday Down South Puts UK Football in Detention

The staff over at Saturday Down South put together a Week 1 SEC Report Card and our Kentucky Wildcats put up a UNC Athletics type grade. It is no surprise to anyone that the Cats deserve any sort of low grade they receive. But with all of the raving we heard this offseason about how this was the year that everything came together, it is surely disheartening.
SDS gave the Cats an overall score of a D-, tied with Mississippi State for the worst grade in the SEC, having this to say about the overall game:
Who takes a 35-10 lead in the final minute of the first half only to lose 44-35? That’s right, Kentucky. Hard to find a way to cobble together six wins this season, or for Mark Stoops to keep control of the program.
The overall grade wasn’t the end of the poor results for the Cats, as they managed to make the Hall Pass and Detention list for both defense and coaching. And if you were wondering, they didn’t get a hall pass for either one.
For our defense, the front line was expected to struggle, but not to get carved up by the offensive coordinator we just pushed out the door.
Southern Miss ran through the Wildcats front like a knife through butter in turning a 35-10 deficit into a win.
At some point, the coaching staff has to be held accountable for the second half collapses that have become second nature to this program in the last few years. Saturday Down South points to what is happening in the locker room at half time. Or should I say, the lack of what is happening at half time?
UK looked like any halftime adjustments that they made were chiropractic rather than offensive or defensive.
Only Vanderbilt received more detentions than UK, with 3, but even the Commodores scored better than the Cats in the overall grading with a D.

God, please stop with the football posts. What kinda lf masochistic, self loathing [email protected]$tards are we to post a hundred freakin posts reminding of us last night. I was there, front row last night….I dont wanna relive it. Id rather read 10 posts about Bams love for Jimmy Dean sausage than one more post about the cluster**** we were subjected to last night.
Please…no more football until we can get some results to match the endless resources we have poured into a team that gives us nothing but misery
All the raving we heard this offseason that this was the year everything came together???? Seriously? You mean the ravings by KSR writers? Geez at least admit it. It’s a Homer site and what you have to do. But don’t act like the majority of fans thought that. At most I would say the entirety of the BBN is, and has been in, wait and see mode. See the 12,000 empty seats to start the game Saturday, not to mention the mostly empty stands in the 4th quarter. Raving schmaving….how stupid
Detention? Should have gotten expelled, and sent to “juvy” for the remainder of the year, where we eventually get hooked on meth.
I am so tired of Kensucky Foosbaall. It’s such a friggin’ joke. All I have heard the last 4 years is come be a hero. Why not? Stoop’s Troops. I have impathy for all of the season ticket holders. You all are more persistent than I am. I could not justify p***ING away my money for a pitiful product. Elliot could not teach my dog how to squat. Schlarmin could not teach me how to stand and p*ss. Barnhart is the worst Athletic Director ever. He hired BCG. He only hired Cal because Mike Pratt insisted. Oh well. Why Not? It’s Kensucky Foosbaall. Come he a zero. Stoop’s follies. I digress.
The party cabins are nice, and I think the cost to rent them will drop significantly. The new concessions are pretty good, doubt that the lines will be very long. Restroom breaks will be quick because only about 25% of the people will attend. After Florida, tickets will be close to free and you will be able to sit, pretty much, anywhere you want., and you can tailgate in the empty parking lots.
You will always be able to watch good football, unfortunately, it will be the teams we play and not us.
4th Year. Think it will be bad this year, wait until next year if Stoops is still HC and he keeps Ediot as his DC.
ZERO.
