REPORT: Vince Marrow to be promoted to Associate Head Coach

It was reported around New Year’s day that Vince Marrow had agreed to a three year deal to stay at Kentucky.

FootballScoop is now reporting that the extension will include a promotion for Marrow to become Associate Head Coach. The new deal comes with a starting salary of $650,000 for Kentucky’s lead recruiter.

In addition to his new role as Associate Head Coach, Marrow will continue to serve as the team’s tight end coach and recruiting coordinator. Marrow is now signed through the 2023 season.

It’s hard to overstate the role that Marrow has played in the continuous rise of the Kentucky Football program. The BBN should be very confident with Coach Stoops and Coach Marrow leading the way.

Heard about this while in Lex this weekend. Great news and good to see.

No you didn’t. You heard about it here in this site like everyone else. You’re not special and you’re not privy to inside info on UK Athletics. Barnhart ain’t hitting “1” on his phone to speed dial your azz to tell you breaking news. Also, I called the ticket office this weekend, there are no season ticket packages sold to anyone under the name of “Clueless Douche-Nozzle”. Enough with your shenanigans.

Stop wasting your fuel money, travel time and lodging expenditures to watch a team that absolutely despise.

Mash, you have truly transformed from a grumpy old-timer to an absolute piece of trash.

Banana and Can and Monkey, LMAO!!! It takes a hell of a job to be both right and funny at the same time, Hahahahaha, But both of you guys did it with a flawless victory. Lol. Mash tater, Words can’t do you justice and I don’t want to be the bad guy, but you’re getting damn close to just plain silly!! Hahahahaha.

I’m good with it, whatever it takes to keep the Big Dog in UK blue.

Only $650k? They should bump that up.

Really? That looks like a damn good amount of money to me. These guys Coach kids to play a game man. I understand the money and all and the top coaches in America making millions of dollars, but they are winning the National Championship yet!! I’m not saying it’s too much, but it is way more than fair! Saying that, I’m very glad to have the big dog as part of the program and it’s a great move going forward. I don’t think he’ll be unhappy with it though. Lmao.

As long as they don’t go with “head coach in waiting” again… we all know how that worked out last time.

He makes twice as much a year as Neurosurgeons do… #Perspective

Not sure you’re right about that. May want to look into how much a Neurosurgeon makes

Link says 100k-800k. Guess it depends on how many you do in a year. I have only known one Neurosurgeon, I don’t remember him working very often. Drove a Porsche and had a few other vehicle. Lived on a farm in Virginia probably worth 2 million in today’s market.

He literally will do the exact same job he did before. This title gives the justification for more money.

I know 0 neurosurgeons, but I know that none of us are in charge of what he makes and those who are couldn’t care less what we think about it. Go cats!!!
