One of the only downsides from Kentucky’s 34-7 victory over Tennessee in Knoxville was an injury to Quinton Bohanna.
In the second quarter the Wildcats’ outstanding senior nose guard was rolled up on a play in the trenches. He quickly pulled off his helmet. As trainer Gabe Amponsah rushed to his aid, Bohanna grabbed him in what appeared to be excruciating pain.
ESPN quickly cut to commercial, leaving fans room to worry about their star on the defensive line. Without Bohanna in the lineup, the Vols ran it right through the middle of the UK defense, finishing a 14-play drive (12 of those plays were runs) with their only score.
Listed as doubtful, Bohanna never returned to action in the second half. After the game he quickly extinguished any fears that his knee injury is significant.

It’s not just lip service. Linebacker Jamin Davis said Bohanna was celebrating in the locker room after he addressed the entire team.
“He was definitely okay. He’s one of our leaders. He wasn’t too bummed out about whatever was going on with him,” Davis said. “He stood up on a chair and said what he had to say. He’s a great leader so, he was fine, definitely.”
