Quinton Bohanna Appreciation Post

Quinton Bohanna’s streak of 23 starts at nose guard will end this coming Saturday when Bohanna misses UK’s trip to Missouri with a leg injury. Bohanna went down in the first half of the Tennessee game with what appeared to be a significant knee issue; however, Mark Stoops has since said his star lineman avoided any “major” damage.

“Quinton will be out for a bit, but nothing major,” Stoops told reporters on Monday. “Thank goodness for him and for us. I’m not sure how long that will be, but he will be out this week,” Stoops said.

Quinton Bohanna will miss time but avoids major knee injury

Until Bohanna gets back on the field, let’s look back at some of his best moments so far this season:

That time he signaled the Ole Miss penalty with the official.

You remember when he told KJ Costello how many interceptions he had thrown.

UK would intercept four more Mississippi State passes. He made Jordan Wright’s Pick 6 possible:

After Kentucky’s win at Tennessee the Memphis native tweeted, “Memphis, Memphis… we don’t claim TN.”

Taking over Bohanna’s spot until he’s back, another fan favorite, Marquan “Bully” McCall…

Stoops said, “I’m really excited for Marquan because he needs to step up. Quite honestly, we need to put that kind of pressure on him and he needs to put that on himself to play at the level that he is capable of and I expect him to do that, I really do.”

I do appreciate that guy and hope he makes it back on the field soon. It’s too bad the tv camera zoomed in on the official instead of having them both side by side in that shot.
