Photo Gallery: Players report for fall camp

The football team had until 2:45 pm to get checked in for the start of fall camp today, and I stopped by the new facility to watch some of the Wildcats sign in to begin the preseason practice process.
Below you’ll find a few photos from the afternoon, including this one of Boom Williams’ tank-top:

Question we all need to ask ourselves: If Freddie thought a coach at UK was not very good, would he be willing / able to say so? My gut answer is No.
I think Freddie is the most honest (about criticism) of the bloggers on the site. But even he needs to somewhat stay on the staff’s good side. So he has to balance the criticism with being able to have access.
I have heard ( and agreed with) Freddie critizing the running back rotation that Chad Scott had last year and of course with Dawson’s play calling last year. The thing most fans don’t realize is there is only so much criticism you can give a coach. You have to come to a point to where it’s down to the fact that the players just aren’t as good as we would like them to be.
I think Boom is a fake. He clearly has maturity / dependability issues. I just don’t think he’s a guy we can count on.
Johnson should start at QB. We can’t compete without a QB that can run.
I bet he is starting by mid-season. He was really impressive in Spring. I hope I’m wrong.
False. The kid isn’t a very good passer and teams will just load the box and tee off on him and the running backs. Drew is the guy. If something does happen and a QB change is made I wouldn’t be surprise if Gunnar isn’t called upon if they don’t want to redshirt him but I think they are desperate enough to try anything because they have to win this year. Now I do think Johnson’s passing can improve and he could be the guy.
Nope, Johnson is as good as a passer as Barker and isn’t immature like Barker is. Also, Look at teams that have won in the SEC other than Alabama / LSU / Georgia. They almost always have a running QB. You have to be able to keep defenses on their toes without having superior athletes. Drew isn’t the answer.
All you negative posters kill me. Can’t you asshats be positive? I get that the Football program has been struggling for decades. I get that coach Stoops has yet to have a breakthrough season. I’ll be honest. He may NEVER have one! I hope he does. I happen to like the man. I think he wants to be successful and is dong everything he can to get there. One thing is for sure. Posting stupid negative comments won’t help us get over the hump. All that does is make the fanbase look foolish and unsupportive.
So let’s keep cheering poor performance so that Barnhart never has a reason to spend money to make a better on-field product. I’m sure that will work.
In your post you pointed out multiple reasons not to be positive and then got mad at “negative posters”. That didn’t make a lot of sense.
I hope that this is the year that UK football goes back to a bowl game. I desperately want something to be positive about. But I’m not going to stick my head up my a$$ and say “nothing wrong here” while the house is burning down around me. Sorry.
So true, but just realize that 999 and inside are loserville trolls, Johnson didn’t look that good to me in spring practice and he is a runner only. Defense will just load the box with him, hoping Drew lives up to the promise of a SEC QB. Hoak has a bright future, but you don’t play a kid in the SEC, unless he is ready and he is not. Johnson was brought in as last resort since we had so many QB’s leave at the end of the last season.
I just don’t think we can trust a QB who was handed the keys without having to earn it. He has acted foolishly since he got on campus and hasn’t proved anything on the field, yet Stoops seems desperate for him to start. I don’t get it.
What’s to like? He’s arrogant, abrasive, evasive, blame shifting, and incompetent.
Day um.
All right stop.
QB #1 look like muh boi: Robert Matthew Van Winkle.
Cheers to him re-habbin the house; & Nads gettin’ it done:
Ice ice baby
Ice ice baby
All right stop
Collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Then I flow that a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop?
Yo, I don’t know
Turn off the lights and I’ll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance
Bum rush the speaker that booms
I’m killin’ your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly, when I play a dope melody
Anything less that the best is a felony
Love it or leave it
You better gain way
You better hit bull’s eye
The kid don’t play
If there was a problem
Yo, I’ll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Now that the party is jumping
With the bass kicked in, the fingers are pumpin’
Quick to the point, to the point no faking
I’m cooking MC’s like a pound of bacon
Burning them if they’re not quick and nimble
I go crazy when I hear a cymbal
And a hi hat with a souped up tempo
I’m on a roll and it’s time to go solo
Rollin in my 5.0
With my ragtop down so my hair can blow
The girlies on standby
Waving just to say hi
Did you stop?
No, I just drove by
Kept on pursuing to the next stop
I busted a left and I’m heading to the next block
That block was dead
Yo so I continued to a1a Beachfront Ave
Girls were hot wearing less than bikinis
Rock man lovers driving Lamborghini
Jealous ’cause I’m out getting mine
Shay with a gauge and Vanilla with a nine
Ready for the chumps on the wall
The chumps are acting ill because they’re so full of eight balls
Gunshots ranged out like a bell
I grabbed my nine
All I heard were shells
Fallin’ on the concrete real fast
Jumped in my car, slammed on the gas
Bumper to bumper the avenue’s packed
I’m tryin’ to get away before the jackers jack
Police on the scene
You know what I mean
They passed me up, confronted all the dope fiends
If there was a problem
Yo, I’ll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Ice ice baby Vanilla
Take heed, ’cause I’m a lyrical poet
Miami’s on the scene just in case you didn’t know it
My town, that created all the bass sound
Enough to shake and kick holes in the ground
‘Cause my style’s like a chemical spill
Feasible rhymes that you can vision and feel
Conducted and formed
This is a hell of a concept
We make it hype and you want to step with this
Shay plays on the fade, slice it like a ninja
Cut like a razor blade so fast
Other DJ’s say, “damn”
If my rhyme was a drug
I’d sell it by the gram
Keep my composure when it’s time to get loose
Magnetized by the mic while I kick my juice
If there was a problem
Yo, I’ll solve it!
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it

Ice ice baby Vanilla
Yo man, let’s get out of here
Word to your mother
Ice ice baby
Too cold
Ice ice baby
Too cold too cold
Ice ice baby
Too cold too cold
Ice ice baby
Too cold too cold
