NFL Cats In Week 3 Action

Week 3 of the NFL offers plenty of intriguing match-ups and a chance to see who is legit around the league. So far this year the League has offered up several surprises with teams like the Chiefs rising to a 3-0 record. This week our former Cats are back in action as all of them take to the road to try and get a W. Here are the games in which you can play spot the Cat this Sunday afternoon:

Green Bay @ Cincinnati

It’s a battle of two 1-1 teams who both have hopes of making a deep playoff run. It’s a game that leaves this fan torn. On one end you have the Icon of PunterU Tim Masthay who helped win a Super Bowl by giving the Packers superior field position. Then you have Kentucky football’s golden boy Randall Cobb all over the field making plays. Cobb already has two touchdowns in as many games while averaging 14.8 yards per catch. On the other you have the team the most Kentuckians pull for, the local Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals look to finally have all of the tools in place to win their first playoff game of my lifetime. With both teams featuring dynamic offenses and stout defenses this game in Cincy could be the early favorite for game of the day. Check it out at noon.

Falcons @ Dolphins

At 2-0 the Dolphins are one of the early surprises of the season. At 1-1 the Falcons have fallen behind in a tight race for the NFC South. Former Cat Corey Peters of the Falcons has been holding up his end of the deal so far this season. He has logged 8 tackles in two games with one sack. This game is one that will reveal if the Dolphins have a shot of challenging for a playoff spot as they face some of the NFL’s elite these next three games. For the Falcon’s is all about bouncing back from the week 1 loss to the Saints and getting back above .500. Look for Peters on the field today at 4.

Buffalo @ New York Jets

Stevie got loose last week to help lead the Bills over the Panthers. Now, EJ Manuals’s new favorite target will look to help put more nails in Rex Ryan’s coffin as head coach of the Jets. So far this year Stevie has 150 yards and two touchdowns while still looking like one of the top wideouts in all of professional football. For the Jets if it hasn’t been one thing it’s been another. Geno Smith helped key a comeback win during week 1 but last week didn’t have enough firepower to get past the Patriots. I’m looking for Mr. Johnson to have a big back on the big stage in NYC. Another 4 o’clock game and one you will likely need Sunday Ticket to see.

Detroit @ Washington

Last season’s darling, RGIII, has struggled in his return from a knee injury and the Redskins sit at 0-2. The lions on the other hand have a record of 1-1 with a loss to the Cardinals. Larry Warford has been garnering rave reviews for his role in keeping QB Matt Stafford safe from pressure. The Right Guard has already made an impact as a rookie and look for him to be playing on Sundays for a long long time if he can keep it up.

Which games will you be watching to see that Cats and what NFL games are you looking forward to seeing in general?

The Bengals. The team most Kentuckians pull for. Guess what? Most of the people that live in Cincinnati hate UK. I know. I live in northern Kentucky. So you know what I say? Screw the Bengals and the Reds. Go Packers and go Pirates!!!

BurnerTurner5 – simply not true. Cincinnati has a LOT of UK fans, and most non-fans are just jealous of UK’s b-ball success…just like the rest of the country (Pittsburgh and Wisconsin included). I sure hope you haven’t lived up here for too long because it sounds like you’ve been around some unpleasant people! Promise it’s not the way you describe in most places up here.
