New food coming to Kroger Field this season

The menu at Kroger Field is getting a major upgrade this season with new premium food options and changes to concessions operations.

A press release from UK Athletics explains what will change after it and its concessions partner, Aramark, responded to the fan feedback:

The west concourse will feature the most visible changes, as third-party vendors – all Lexington favorites – will all be serving premium food items.

Atomic Ramen (inside Gate 4) will serve Asian-inspired cuisine, starting with a bao bun with fried pork belly.

Athenian Grill (inside gates 6/7) will serve its authentic Greek cuisine, with lamb and beef feta stuffed sausage; vegetarian, chicken and classic gyros; vegetarian Mediterranean pie; and baklava on the menu.

Louisiana Passion (inside Gate 9) will serve Louisiana favorites.

Vendors serving on specialty items in the west concourse will allow remaining brick-and-mortar locations throughout Kroger Field to focus on a more limited, traditional concessions menu to enhance speed of service. Additionally, prices for traditional items have been updated – both increases and decreases – to even dollar amounts to eliminate the need for loose change.

The new changes will provide more food and create speedier transactions to get fans back in their seats to watch the Cats.

Only three more sleeps until kickoff!
