More on Jason Hatcher’s arrest

Jon Hale of The Courier-Journal placed a call to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and found more on Jason Hatcher’s arrest.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton, the arresting officer spotted Hatcher using his cell phone light to look through his vehicle while pulled over speeding. The officer smelled marijuana when he approached the vehicle, and discovered Hatcher had stuffed a quarter of a pound down his pants and had another three quarters of a pound in the passenger floor board. That’s a whole lot of marijuana.

Trafficking a pound of marijuana comes with one to five years in jail for first time offenders. It’s probably safe to assume we’ve seen the last of Hatcher in a Kentucky football uniform, which is terribly sad considering his NFL potential and veteran role on UK’s defense.

The good news is, another of the low-character losers who were poisoning the team last year is now gone.

Obviously the hardships of Student-Athletes not receiving income for the earnings made from their work, has forced another to make money other ways.

Disappointing. It is absurd however, that trafficking 1 lb of the mary juane entails a multi-year sentence.

Another victim of a failed “war on drugs” policy used as an excuse to deprive mostly minorities of their liberty and property

Ur an idiot, I’m pretty sure any white guy driving around with a pound of pot would have also been arrested. Morons making this about race is what’s wrong with the world today, yes marijuana being illegal is probably stupid and id like to see it legalized. But it also it still illegal and he is a grown man and is well aware of that, he chose to break the law knowing very well what all he was risking. Time to man up and face the punishment
