Michigan and Ohio State Publicly Push Back on Big Ten Football Cancellation

The Big Ten is barreling toward a fall without football and the conference’s two most popular teams are not letting that happen without a fight.

Monday morning multiple reports stated that Big Ten presidents elected by a vote of 12-2 to cancel football this fall, with Nebraska and Iowa as the lone exceptions. A Big Ten spokesperson said hours later, “no vote has been held by our presidents and chancellors,” but believe what you will.

Before the conference officially drops the news, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh released a statement in support of playing. Instead of basing his beliefs upon his urge to lose another game to Ohio State, Harbaugh argues that the facts accumulated since the program returned to campus illustrate a setting where football can be safely played.

Shortly after Harbaugh issued the press release, Michigan and Ohio State’s verified football social media accounts began Retweeting statements in support off playing football this fall, effectively defying their presidents’ reported votes of no confidence. This is just a small sample of the dozens of messages shared on accounts that have a combined 1.2 million followers.

Saving the 2020 college football season might be the first and last time Michigan and Ohio State agree on something.

Let Ohio state and Michigan just join the sec and let’s have a season! Then we can find out how overrated they are.

I agree, as long as the medical/risk management professionals feel the risk is acceptable. I would love to see OSU endure and SEC schedule, but I also know there is a .01% chance of this happening. They would be sued by the Bgi10.

If college football is cancelled dits because of these ridiculous athletes demands, especially the social justice and equality issues they want.

Yeah! Social justice and equality are ridiculous. Why would anyone in their right mind feel that they deserve social justice or equality with other fellow humans?

Uh the social justice they want is only for blacks. Here is what they want. They are basically antifa football players

Form a permanent civic-engagement task force made up of our leaders, experts of our choice, and university and conference administrators to address outstanding issues such as racial injustice in college sports and in society.
In partnership with the Pac-12, 2% of conference revenue would be directed by players to support financial aid for low-income Black students, community initiatives, and development programs for college athletes on each campus.

Form an annual Pac-12 Black College Athlete Summit with a guaranteed representation of at least three athletes of our choice from every school.

So they want to help low income blacks. What about low income Hispanics or whites. Where is the social justice for them.

Because they only want what is good for them, not everyone. That’s why blm is a racist group.

Lol a majority of the people that say black lives matter are not even talking about the organization. Most of them probably don’t even truly know anything about it. I’m black. We say black lives matter to bring attention to the fact that we are treated as if our lives don’t matter (and I’m not just talking about police brutality)

But most people assume that we’re racist or support the organization which is far from the truth. I challenge you sincerely talk to a minority and see why we want social justice

Keep fighting Youngcat, but you will soon realize that you cannot change the mind of a racist.

Social justice means saying I’m ashamed of being white
I got what I got by being white

Cops kill only minorities and it whites

Everyone is equal and has same chance.

If you live in a slum then move out
You don’t have to be in poverty, all kinds of jobs out there

Plenty big low income minority people have been successful and didn’t blame society

If you really think that everyone is equal and has the same chance then you are very ignorant
