Max Smith looked good again today

Cats vs. Cards

Maxwell Smith had another good day of practice today, according to Mark Stoops and offensive coordinator Neal Brown. Brown said that Smith was “almost perfect” in practice yesterday, and shows no signs of injury; however, that doesn’t mean he’s automatically the starter.

Stoops said that he hasn’t decided who will start on Saturday yet, and that Smith and Whitlow are taking equal reps in practice. Brown was pleased with all of the offense today after “two really good days of work,” and says they will likely decides who starts at QB tomorrow.

Nick Roush will be by a little later on with a full recap.

No matter what Stoops says, Max is automatically the starter if healthy enough. Coach is just saying that because they are determined to get Whitlow involved somewhat and they don’t want him discouraged.

You have to know the right plays to even compete. It’s not just school yard chuck and recieve ball these days. Good rotation on the ball going about 50-53 MPH will only be caught if your shoulders are square. It’s not going to happen folks!! Put the most effort you can in defending play. We got to get this one!! Team spirit!!

So I guess Towles is back in No Mans Land. Must still be struggling after getting many first team reps last week.
