Maurice Clarett is speaking to the football team today

After an unsuccessful attempt to enter the NFL after his sophomore season, followed by an unsuccessful NFL career once he was eligible, followed by multiple arrests and legal troubles, followed by prison time, former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett is a changed man. He is now a successful motivational speaker and entrepreneur using his own story to teach others how not to do it, and today he is in Lexington delivering that message to the UK football team.

This photo was posted to the @ukfootball Instagram account moments ago, showing Clarett in front of the entire team. Hopefully they all listen to what he has to say because there’s no better example of blowing an opportunity like Clarett. He was the real deal at Ohio State.

And if you’re wondering how the former Buckeye ended up in Lexington, I assume he was invited by his cousin, Vince Marrow.

Man I remember Maurice, he was great and just fell off. I heard it was behavior and people he surrounded himself with mostly, these kids should listen to what he says. Plus we’ve been recruiting OH so well, why not bring in an Ohio guy? Good move Stoops!

If UK wasn’t recruiting Ohio well, you wouldn’t be here.

This reminds me of when Jesse Pinkman went to rehab to sell the blue.
