Matt Ruffolo out today; Chance Poore will kick field goals

Some late breaking news from Kroger Field: starting kicker Matt Ruffolo is out. According to Derek Terry, Ruffolo is wearing street clothes on the sidelines, meaning redshirt sophomore Chance Poore will kick field goals today vs. Vanderbilt. Last season, Poore hit five of nine field goals, with a career-long 46-yarder vs. Toledo. He also hit 24 of 26 extra points.

Here’s hoping the reason Ruffolo is out is not serious.

UPDATE

Max Duffy has also been sidelined. Collin Goodfellow will punt in his place. It appears that left guard Kenneth Horsey will miss today’s action as well, and Marquez Bembry will fill in for DeAndre Square at will linebacker.

I hope he makes all the PATs and no FGs are even attempted. It’s Vandy after all.

He has a poor chance of doing that.
