Mark Stoops was a Sooner last night
Kentucky head football coach Mark Stoops was on the Oklahoma sideline last night for the big upset over Nick Saban and Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. We like to think he’s the real reason behind Oklahoma’s five forced turnovers and the 35 points scored off of those Alabama mistakes. That explains why these Sooners contemplated giving him, not Bob, the Gatorade bath after the game.

If I’m not mistaken, it was just a few short years ago that your Cardinals were at home during the holidays watching the Cats play in bowl games! Just like Kragthorpe did at Louisville, Joker left the Kentucky program in a mess. It will take Stoops a couple of years to get the talent level back up. Unlike Louisville’s situation, Kentucky doesn’t have the advantage of rebuilding while playing inferior competition. Those years of playing one “cupcake” after another is finally coming to an end next season. The ACC is by no means the SEC, but compared to C-USA, the Big East and the AAC, Louisville might as well be moving to the NFL.
To his credit, that’s all he can do his troll. Their world is crumbling around them…and there’s nothing they can do but watch…

In all seriousness, I like Stoops and I think he will do well. But moving to the ACC will legitimize us as a basketball program. Good luck with that in the SEC.

How about you get your Cardinal loving ass off of the Kentucky site and start trolling articles about your coach leaving. You will never be a legit player in much of anything which is why every football coach that you have that does any good leaves. No one cares about UL football now nor will they ever care. You are a inner city school that jumps from conference to conference in attempt to find some people that like you forever seeding your place in no mans land. You obviously have a very short memory. I heard nothing but excuses from Card fans during the Kragthorpe years! It was quite comical to see so many “diehard” Cardinal Football fans jumping off the bandwagon during those years.
You supposedly fielded your best team ever this year, and yet you were only able to beat a 2-10 Kentucky team by two TDs. Bridgewater won’t be under center next season, so things will look a lot different for the Cards. Not to mention the fact that come February, Kentucky will have out-recruited Louisville two straight years.
Kentucky will probably never compete for National Championships; but, they have more than enough to compete with programs like Louisville.
Exactly. Louisville won that game on the back of two completely unforced red zone errors by the Cats. The victory was handed to them, and they still almost managed to screw it up.
5 years from now:
UK Basketball will have at least 1 more championship, 2 more Final Fours
UK Football will be coming off consecutive 8-10 win seasons
UofL Basketball will be in the middle of the pack of the ACC, happy to make the tourney as an 8+ seed
UofL Football will be getting annually pummeled by Miami, FSU, BC, GA Tech, even Duke, as Charlie Strong and Teddy B count their money elsewhere

It is a shame that there are so many miserable people like him in the world who live only to try and make others as miserable as themselves.
