Mark Stoops was a Sooner last night

stoops-sugar-bowl

Kentucky head football coach Mark Stoops was on the Oklahoma sideline last night for the big upset over Nick Saban and Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. We like to think he’s the real reason behind Oklahoma’s five forced turnovers and the 35 points scored off of those Alabama mistakes. That explains why these Sooners contemplated giving him, not Bob, the Gatorade bath after the game.

That’s Adrian Peterson in the photo, too.

That’s the closest he’ll ever get to a bowl game. Kittens are never invited.

You kittens need to distinguish (correctly) “here” from “hear” and “your” from “you’re.” Grammar, punctuation, and spelling win football games; I am living proof.

      Love puddles.

    Charlie Strong,

If I’m not mistaken, it was just a few short years ago that your Cardinals were at home during the holidays watching the Cats play in bowl games! Just like Kragthorpe did at Louisville, Joker left the Kentucky program in a mess. It will take Stoops a couple of years to get the talent level back up. Unlike Louisville’s situation, Kentucky doesn’t have the advantage of rebuilding while playing inferior competition. Those years of playing one “cupcake” after another is finally coming to an end next season. The ACC is by no means the SEC, but compared to C-USA, the Big East and the AAC, Louisville might as well be moving to the NFL.

In all seriousness, I like Stoops and I think he will do well. But moving to the ACC will legitimize us as a basketball program. Good luck with that in the SEC.

“But moving to the ACC will legitimize us as a basketball program. Good luck with that in the SEC.”

Because the program with the most wins and 8 National Championships needs to be legitimized.

How about you get your Cardinal loving ass off of the Kentucky site and start trolling articles about your coach leaving. You will never be a legit player in much of anything which is why every football coach that you have that does any good leaves. No one cares about UL football now nor will they ever care. You are a inner city school that jumps from conference to conference in attempt to find some people that like you forever seeding your place in no mans land. Every conference that you touch dies and every coach you have leaves.

      Forever yours,

      Big Brother

    Charlie Strong,

You obviously have a very short memory. I heard nothing but excuses from Card fans during the Kragthorpe years! It was quite comical to see so many “diehard” Cardinal Football fans jumping off the bandwagon during those years.

You supposedly fielded your best team ever this year, and yet you were only able to beat a 2-10 Kentucky team by two TDs. Bridgewater won’t be under center next season, so things will look a lot different for the Cards. Not to mention the fact that come February, Kentucky will have out-recruited Louisville two straight years.

Kentucky will probably never compete for National Championships; but, they have more than enough to compete with programs like Louisville.

      12:09 pm January 3, 2014 Permalink

Exactly. Louisville won that game on the back of two completely unforced red zone errors by the Cats. The victory was handed to them, and they still almost managed to screw it up.

      5 years from now:

UK Basketball will have at least 1 more championship, 2 more Final Fours
UK Football will be coming off consecutive 8-10 win seasons
UofL Basketball will be in the middle of the pack of the ACC, happy to make the tourney as an 8+ seed
UofL Football will be getting annually pummeled by Miami, FSU, BC, GA Tech, even Duke, as Charlie Strong and Teddy B count their money elsewhere

The “lack of education” crap U of L trollers always fall back on is getting old. Give me a break…What guys like “Charlie Strong” don’t realize is there are more Kentucky fans in Louisville than are those who root for the Cardinals. Unfortunately, we don’t hear from them much. The only ones out of Jefferson County we hear from here are the envious types like this guy who no doubt tailgates out of the back of his ’04 beamer, sweater sleeves tied around his neck, Italian loafers sans socks, sipping martinis trying to impress his trophy wife while discussing his obsession with his hero Thurston Howell III. If he thinks for one minute, the Kentucky fan base has a monopoly on uneducated morons, he’s as out of touch as I think he is…Go out to Jefferson Mall on a Friday night or to the Dutchmann’s Lane Hooters sometime. You can’t swing a dead cat in either of these places without hitting a drooling, uneducated, knuckle dragging, mouth breathing nitwit donning red and black signifying the “L” with his thumb and forefinger. Not making it up…just the facts. Think about that “Charlie Strong” the next time you accuse Kentucky fans of being uneducated idiots.

“Charlie Strong” is a miserable person who lives to hate. Why else would he be coming to a UK website. It is a shame that there are so many miserable people like him in the world who live only to try and make others as miserable as themselves. Pity him, as he is obvisously someone who cannot be happy with the success of his own team but is compelled to bring his hate to others. “Charlie” , I sincerely hope you find some happiness in life and you become a better person down the road ?
