Mark Stoops’ last comments of the week

Stoops-practice-3

Mark Stoops met with the media one last time after Thursday’s practice before the team loads up the plane and flies to Tuscaloosa tomorrow.

There wasn’t much news in Stoops’ comments, but he did have this to say about the week and the challenge Alabama presents:

I’m excited about the opportunity and I’m worried about us and competing at a high level and getting better. That’s what we’ve been stressing all week is having that great attention to detail, fundamentally playing better. Our communication needs to be better, so we’re anxious to get out there and have another great opportunity.”

He also said the team lost a little focus during Wednesday’s practice once the rain came down and they moved inside. They practiced in the rain for a good 40 minutes, he said, until it started pouring on them.

“We went inside and didn’t carry the same concentration we were doing the first part of practice.”

The Cats will hold another walkthrough in Lexington tomorrow morning and then it’s #wheelsup to T-Town.

lol a SEC coach saying team lost focus cause of rain ….lmao what does that say about the coach? if rain causes him not to be able to keep players focused just think what a TIDE is going to do

it will cost plenty of money in future in ticket sales merchandise and concession sales when fans stop coming to games go ahead and cut him lose while we have good players here cause if he is here next year mark my words it will be nearly impossible to get turned around so dont make next coach start behind eight ball let him have some talent to work with recruits are seeing that he dont put them in positions to win or succed let alone improve there skills i love UK and fans like chester are destroying the football program by not putting his feet to the fire but it dont matter im sure some cordinator will get blame and be fired
