Mark Stoops isn’t happy today

UK Football Fan Day

Mark Stoops is not a happy man right now. Kentucky’s head football coach called today’s practice unacceptable and said his players were looking for a rock to hide under. It’s probably the most frustrated he has been on the job, he says.

“It’s a 21-point spread. And right now, that ain’t enough.”

That’s not exactly what we want to hear with UK’s first true road test coming up in three days. Stoops was visibly upset and I’m sure the players felt his wrath in today’s practice.

We’ll have more from Stoops on the site a little later…

Two thumbs up for your cyber slap to Big Black on Twitter. Funny stuff. Dude thinks he’s still relevant.

He’ll really be upset after a 56-3 whipping by the Ol’ Ball Coach. Seriously, they had better be ready because Spurrier’s team needs to kick some tail after their mediocre performance last week.

OBC will show no mercy. He might get really negative after this game.

at least he’s honest w/ the fans and publicly says the team is terrible rather than the “we need to stay upbeat” and ‘there were some positives to take away” nonsense we’ve heard after/during beatdowns in the past.

I love that our coach is fired up and pissed off. Don’t get me wrong I wish the guys had a better practice, but because they didn’t, he calls their ass out. Passion for success I haven’t seen in awhile. STOOPS! We need to support this guy and his staff as much as we can because the energy they bring will be contagious and “his” recruits will understand that and whats expected from day one of their recruitment.

The coach is honest, he is not sugar coating it for the fans.

Lets be real! Getting fired up isn’t going to change anything. Just like last years BB team what you see is what you get. The talent level is to low and it is what it is.PERIOD accept it and go on.

I really like his honesty: blunt and to the point. He never tries to sugar coat anything; he just says they’re not good enough to have bad days.

ah, good. the head coach is catching on to what some of us knew from the first game this year. that’s so totally worth millions of dollars a year.

Join the club. As a season ticket holder I haven’t been happy all year.
Time to replace the whole team instead of reward them. Make them earn their spots.
I’ve seen nothing special except against a poor Miami of Ohio team.
Heading for 2-10 with a bunch of underachieving freshman.

Here’s the problem with “his” recruits of this year. Not a one bleeds blue and all looked at coming to UK as a chance to immediately play for a trip to the NFL. By playing them, all of next years recruits will stay thinking they can play as freshman. Is this year really about winning?

Seriously? Morons are so hard to deal with….this is the S-E-C, not to mention it’s not even halfway thru the first season for a coach that walked into a historically bad program that was at nearly rock bottom for a team not on probation.

    Jeezus…cut some slack.

the OBC loves nothing better than to run it up on lesser foes. and he will absolutely do that to us if he can

I’m with @17. Right now, there’s 7 SEC teams in the AP Top 25. Picking apart a kids’ motives by saying, “He doesn’t bleed blue,” is just wrong. It says, “Kentucky” across their chest right? The team is compiled by nearly the same team(s) that Joker recruited and coached. Football takes time and if you’re paying attention you can see a huge improvement in the team this year regardless of our record.
