Mark Stoops Adds Youngstown State to 2022 Kentucky Football Schedule

Mark Stoops is bringing his hometown team to Lexington.

FBS Schedules learned late last night that Youngstown State will play Kentucky at Kroger Field on September 17, 2022.  UK will pay the FCS program a guaranteed $550,000 for the match-up.

It was only a matter of time before Stoops got a shot against his hometown program and longtime friend, Bo Pelini.  The respective coaches grew up together in Youngstown and have a history filled with shenanigans.

The former Nebraska coach is entering his fourth season as the Penguins’ head coach.  If Stoops and Marrow are still around in 2022 it will be their tenth season leading UK’s program and Pelini’s eighth in Youngstown.  Making it to 2022 might be a long-shot, but if everybody is still around it will be one fun week for the Youngstown natives.

If ST Oops is no longer around, near 2022, can KENTUCKY void the contract?

That picture of Stoops looks like the type of guy who uses slang terms well after they stopped being cool.

Pelini should’ve been hired to help with the defense.

Another “quality” non-conference opponent that will be sure to bring the fans in by the hundreds! LOL.
