UPDATE: Lynn Bowden tweets he’s “here for a while,” never thought about leaving

Here’s some reassurance for members of the BBN who were confused and concerned about Lynn Bowden’s latest mysterious tweets: the rising sophomore has now posted that he’s “here for a while.”

While we still don’t have any clarification on the meaning of his original tweet (seen below) that sent the internet into a frenzy, it now seems it was nothing to be concerned about.

Last season, Bowden caught 17 passes for 210 yards and returned a total of 37 punts with an average of 23.5 yards per kick return. His speed and versatility made him a serious competitor throughout his freshman season, and he’s expected to be a big part of this year’s team. Losing Bowden (for whatever reason) would be a serious blow to Kentucky’s offense, which is why the ambiguous apology tweet rubbed many members of the BBN the wrong way.

Yes, this is a lot of in-depth analysis over less than a dozen words, but this is the age we live in with social media. Plus, Bowden is no stranger to internet controversy – remember his string of tweets after the Cats’ opening game last season? Back then, he seemed to be upset with his lack of playing time in his debut game. Now, we don’t know what the issue could have been. But the BBN can breathe a sigh of relief knowing the wide receiver isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

——————————UPDATE————————

Lynn Bowden has given yet another update, this time saying he was “never going anywhere” and that he had just been going through some personal things.

Though it’s great to see he’s here for the long haul, let’s hope he can overcome whatever adversities he’s facing right now.

Go Cats.

He’s a fiery dude so expect the unexpected I’m surprised he’s not more outspoken than we see with a dude with a neck tattoo.

I’m tired of KSR trying to create news with misleading headlines but I think Bowden is important enough that you post about his tweets.

This is not the first time he has tweeted something cryptic to get attention . He does it often and you all always indulge him. I unfollowed him on twitter a long time ago for this very reason.

The dude is obviously not happy. Happy people do not say those things only unhappy people say those things. I guarantee you he was out the door, then someone talked with him and changed his mind

If that is true, then there are a whole lot of unhappy people posting here.

He needs to work hard on the field, and stay off social media.
Then, if he’s not getting the ball in the games, I’m going to be disappointed in the coaching staff.
