What. A. Game. Lynn Bowden is an absolute LEGEND!!!! Build him a statue!!!!!
GOTTA LOVE THE SCOOP AND SCORE TO PUT ICING ON THE CAKE. Lynn Bowden COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE YEAR IN MY BOOK.
WOW just wow… can’t remember wanting to beat a non UL team more in recent memory… so so glad we beat those punks… Bowden is an absolute monster!!! They messed with the wrong one
Holy crap. Lynn Bowden is Superman. Apparently, this was Bud Fosters last game?
Lynn Bowden field and statues at every entrance.
Look – I understand everybody is hyped about the ending – but please, try to view the big picture.
This is no day for celebration. We lost Bud Foster. Bud. Foster.
lol
“Say it ain’t so Bud!”
Suck it up. Wake up tomorrow. Pack ur lunch pale. Go to Mr. Slade’s Quarry, it’ll be ok.
Good one! Haha.
Lynn Bowden was not going to lose to those guys. No sir.
Boy I wish I had been at KSBar if not the game! I have to plan a road trip there for a game sometime.
BTW, what the crap? “Due to the contract between the Belk Bowl and ESPN we are not allowed to stream the broadcast.” The game itself I understand, but the post-game? That makes no sense. ESPN is covering other games already because they don’t give a rat’s behind about UK football!
Never mind. It’s on now. It wasn’t for several minutes for some reason.
GO CATS!!!
Awesome win. So glad to be able to win the Bud Foster Bowl. Happy for Lynn Bowden. He’s a warrior. He was about out of gas, I was thinking he was going to have to do it with his arm. Great play call by Eddie Gran…Go Cats!!!
The greatness of Bud Foster can’t be reduced to something as simple as a football game, just like it can’t be captured in mediums as unrefined as marble or stone, poem or song. To properly portray the magnificence of the man would require a structure beyond our ability to comprehend – like a sculpture of pure light floating on a lake of the most innocent love. To gaze directly at Bud Foster would be to risk madness, like staring into the sun until one was blinded by sheer awe.
When the euphoria wears off, you’ll see that the world is just a little more gray now. That’s the Earth’s way of weeping for the passing of Bud Foster.
Well said ScoggDog, I just saw Bud Foster and Lynn Bowden riding off into the sunset..like the Lone Ranger and Tonto..
Dang ScoggDog, that was beautiful, I got a little teary eyed reading that. That’s funny as hell no matter who you are.
Congratulations to the team. Given all the issues that came up this year winning eight games is a good accomplishment in my opinion.
Kash Daniel killing it on the SEC network right now
#BroughIt
I am walking on air; but, damn, keep hitting my head on the ceiling.
I am sorry we spoiled ESPN’s Bud Foster party, though…NOT.
It’s a shame he’s going out with a L.
This type of offense get shuts down by a good team like Virginia Tech. No chance you beat teams this caliber doing that and being one dimensional. I’m not being facetious. That’s just a testament to what an unbelievable athlete and football player Lynn Bowden is. He is unreal. He carried this team the last half of the year. He was just the best athlete pretty much every week they took the field.
By the way……Who was the “fan” trolling people here by saying no way this team wins 7-8 games?
Also on a statistical note, Mark Stoops is now 2-2 in bowl games and 44-44 overall
It’s all blue sky from here… next stop Fran Curci, the folllowing year The Bear. (At UK of course). But seriously we hv runway in front of us and blue sky above us, he’s done a great job.
We refer to that record as occurring in the Bud Foster Era. All record books will now be reset to zero, as we transition into the Post Bud Foster Phase of college football – with heavy hearts and weary souls.
So let the football date from this day forward be recognized with A.B. (After Bud). Who names their child after two beers?
Did anyone else find themselves hating on Va Tech? It was like I didn’t know I despised them so much.
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
Directly under the throne room, a gloomily lit hall. Banners
hang on either side to form a corridor down the middle of the
fire lit room.
Giant doors open at one end. A huge figure silhouetted
against the bright light beyond walks forward. In slo-mo, we
recognize the unmistakable shape of the God of Thunder.
Hammer in hand, he reaches the end of a raised platform.
Lightning strikes the Destroyer. It convulses. Bud swings
Mjolnir around, takes off straight up into the air, as the
Destroyer gets back on its feet and looks up at the Thunder
God. Storm clouds gather around Bud as he summons gale
force winds.
Debris from the battle begins to rise up into the sky. The
Destroyer stays there, kept grounded by its massive weight.
Sorry for the poor job of copying from the “Thor” script. Haha.
Fck yeah. What a dramatic win.
Insane, in the best of ways.
A friend just told me that Lynn Bowden threw a TD pass with 15 seconds to go to win the Belk Bowl. Yeah, right. Who’s he think he’s kidding.
lol
My hats off to va tech and the program that beamer and foster have built. They took a program similiar to uk or worse as far as history goes and built a strong tradition. Have alot of respect for them especially foster being from ky but that being said look out for the big blue football train cause we building our own tradition. Here’s to uk football may our bowl streak surpass their 27 yrs. C A T S CATS CATS CATS
