Lynn Bowden broke a 45-year old school record today

Lynn Bowden can now add record holder to his ever-expanding resume. Bowden rushed 11 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns today vs. UT Martin, his fifth 100-yard rushing game as quarterback, which breaks Mike Fanuzzi’s 45-year old record for the most 100-yard rushing games by a QB in school history.
In fact, Bowden would have six 100-yard rushing games this season, but came up one yard short vs. Georgia, rushing for 99 yards on 17 carries. So far this season, he has 951 rushing yards, meaning he’ll need 49 in next week’s game vs. Louisville to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark. If you compare his 7.37 yards per carry average with the nation’s top running backs, it ranks second behind Clemson’s Travis Etienne (8.73 yards per carry).
With seven rushing touchdowns, two passing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown this season, Bowden is the definition of versatile, which is yet another reason you should vote for him for The Paul Hornung Award. Also, his son is ridiculously cute. I will take all the “Lynn Bowden and his son” B-roll footage the SEC Network has to offer.

Dude has stepped up an put this team on his back.
Shame this young man had to readjust to carry this team.
For you young guys, Fannuzi was a magician with the ball. He ran the veer and and the opposing defenses could never find the ball.
