Louisville signee facing assault charges because of course

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: a future Louisville player is going to trial for criminal charges. This time around, it’s defensive end signee Devonte Fields, who will go to trial for misdemeanor assault in June. Fields, a former TCU player who was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, was charged with assault last July after he allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend.

TCU dismissed fields after his arrest and he spent a year at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas before signing with Louisville. He took anger management classes in hopes the charge would be dismissed, but will now go to trial on June 17. The Class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

BB guns on campus. Bar fights in Richmond. Still on the team. I hate UL. But we also had a kid accused of rape in a dorm, who is no longer on the team. Every athletic program has issues, just like every college does, even Vandy and Duke. Glass houses and such.

Didn’t video evidence prove the EKU player started the fight?

      > BB guns on campus.
Barely even a crime, and certainly not on par with assaulting a woman who trusts you.

      > Bar fights in Richmond.
      Not started by our kids

      > a kid accused of rape in a dorm
      That kid wasn’t indicted.

You’re way off base here. Way off base.

If anything, UK has been too strict on players in my opinion.

eyebleedblue is a UL fan guys. novalsi said it best, but a big difference is that UL recruits them and takes them on the team AFTER they are accused of horrible crimes. It’s like UL seeks out criminals so they will fit in socially with the current team. The are the real life “Longest Yard”. L1disrespect-women4ever

Nothing too see here people. Okay all it is that the courts decided his anger courses would not count. So he has to go to trial. KSR if you are going too write a article, at least don’t try and embelish the story as if it was some new charge. Makes us in the BBN look really stupid!

How long before Easy Rider starts populating the UL Scout Squad with current and ex-girlfriends?

Here’s the difference between UK and UL: UK had a kid (Tubman) accused of sexual assault, coach Stoops held him out of football entirely until the investigation was completed; he was then dismissed from school.
UL on the other hand recruited this kid AFTER he was kicked out of TCU for his offenses. They KICKED HIM OUT OF SCHOOL so the allegations were evidently quite strong; but bobby P don’t care, he goes after him anyway. Petrino is SCUM and he recruits SCUM whenever he can. UL has TWO kids on the team that were offered scholarships AFTER they were involved in assault, battery, etc… UK on the other hand, kicks them out of school for such offenses. That, my friends, is why UK is BETTER than Petrino and UL will ever be.

Isn’t he also the one that got the scholarship that the RB from SC was supposed to get before Bobby P. yanked it out from under him 2 days before signing day?

As UNC basketball has their Carolina Way, baby blue argyle wool pulled over America’s eyes as self proclaimed wonder school, so does Uavel what with their Cordinul way. Only they’re in America’s face with it in an irreverent manner. Gettin’ it done, no doubt, one criminal at a time ala Half Ass U Criminoles. Absolutely typical; as the sun rises, on a daily basis, same embarrasing stories, different day/season. It is never ending with Jurich, Petrino and arguably, to a lesser, extent Pitino.
